Some deep thinking lately...
So tonight For young women we were going to make cupcakes...Not that I dont love making cupcakes or anything, but isn't going to young women supposed to teach you something gospel related? After thinking about this for a while, my dad called my young women leader and told her that I would be working on my personal progress with him, instead of making cupcakes. Looking back on Oakcrest earlier this summer: If we could have half of the experience that I had each night at Oakcrest, at young women the girls in our ward's testimonies would be so strong. I Wish that i could have another experience like i did at Oakcrest again soon, it helped my testimony grow so much, and helped me realize that I can do more with my Wednesday nights than making cupcakes. So Thanks to everyone that helped Oakcrest be so amazing for me. And i hope that i can help our activities be more gospel related.

Sabrina, first off I love that you have a blog, I am excited to see how life treats you! Thank you for your example at Oakcrest! When you go to these activities you can be an example to those around you and help them have a testimony as strong as yours! Young women's is fun, enjoy all of the exciting things you do! You are amazing and I love you!
ReplyDeleteSub- It's okay to have fun and become close friends with the girls in your young women through fun activities every once and a while, even if decorating cupcakes doesn't seem like the most spiritual experience. And don't feel like you have to wait for an experience like Oakcrest to be able to grow in your testimony. Doing things like personal progress and personal scripture study will help you get that experience on your own ANY TIME you want it!
