Taking a break/being a little kid again
The other day I was looking at my friends blog and I found this quote:
My life has been super crazy these past couple of months so I decided that I would go back to being a kid for a day and take a break from this stressful life for a bit.
I started off my coloring a bunch of Disney princess that I printed off.
Then I went on a bike ride (for training) And When I got back I ate pizza and watched Tangled with my Best Friend. It was a pretty great day. I think that everyone needs to take a break like this every once in a while. Life can get pretty stressful, and it's nice to take a break from it :)
Acts of Kindness Day
For English we had to come up with 3 acts of kindness that we don't normally see everyday and do them by the next day. At first it seemed like kind of short notice, but I got with my group and we came up with our ideas:
1) Putting on a piano concert at the Went worth (Old folks home)

2) Making and delivering cookies to someone we didn't know

3) Putting quotes on people car windows :)

The Concert was by far my favorite!! I love talking to older people because they have some of the coolest stories ever! One of the ladies sitting in the front by the piano, after i finished, kept thanking me for playing for her. It made me happy knowing I had been able to make that lady happy with my piano song. The other two activities we did didn't really affect me in the same way as the concert did. I'm really glad that i got the chance to do that yesterday, and I'm planning on going back there soon :)

Little Red Riding Hood
A couple of months ago I signed up for a bike race with me mom and my friend Hailey.
Today was the official start of training for me and my mom. I'm super tired now but hopefully I will get used to doing big rides like that for training for the Little Red Riding Hood Race!! The race is on June 1st and its up in Logan. We are doing the 70 mile portion. I'm really excited to see how this turns out!

A day in the life of Anne frank.
In my English class we are reading the book Anne Frank. My teacher assigned us a project to go into lock down for a two hour time period.
Being the teacher she is she told us that we could do this project in our rooms, and we could read, write and listen to our ipods for the two hours. We were not allowed to sleep, get up and walk around, eat, use the bathroom, or talk. She did this so that we could get an idea of what it was like for Anne Frank for the two years she was in hiding. Having the family that i do, my family decided to help me make it more like what it was like for Anne. They put me in our trailer in front of our house, with nothing but a card table, a chair, my notebook, a pen, and my book. Then I recorded my thoughts and feelings every 30 minutes to show that i has actually done the project. It was a lot harder than I thought it would have been, but i am glad i could have had that experience.
| This is me right before the two hour time started in our trailer. |
